Guardian's Botaneco Garden Baby Range is Gentle to Baby's Skin!

To be honest, I don't care much for skin products because I have great skin (lies). It's just because I'm super lazy! But then again, I received this very interesting article on Guardian's Botaneco Garden (BG) range. My parents are huge fans, and I mean HUGE because they strictly use BG in their skin care regime, religiously. TBH, my dad who also doesn't care much uses BG for showers, shampoo and stuff. So when I heard that they've got this baby thing going on, it sounds super interesting. Here's more info.

Guardian, the largest pharmacy, health and beauty retail chain in Malaysia is delighted to introduce the Botaneco Garden Baby range, expanding its Botaneco Garden line that uses ingredients harvested from nature, to serve and help protect the skin of littlest users.

The Botaneco Garden Baby Organic Chamomile & Oatmeal range consists of head-to-toe wash, baby body lotion and facial & body cream, and uses a unique blend of organic chamomile extract to soothe skin, organic colloidal oatmeal to help protect the skin barrier, while Eco-Certified olive oil moisturizes both skin and hair.

Every product in the Botaneco Garden Baby range uses organic chamomile extract and organic colloidal oatmeal and eco-certified olive oil which are selected ingredients to suite baby skin. The line has ingredients which are organic and is hypoallergenic, as well as being dermatologically tested & proven. The formulation is free from parabens, silicone, SLS, SLES, colorants, lanolin and DEA, giving parents peace-of-mind that baby is getting gentle, caring cleansing and pampering from the very first day.

Affordably priced, Botaneco Guardian Baby brings quality hair and skincare within reach of more consumers.

Botaneco Garden Baby Organic Chamomile & Oatmeal range uses a unique blend of organic chamomile extract to soothe skin, organic colloidal oatmeal to help protect the skin barrier, while Eco-Certified olive oil moisturizes both skin and hair. It consists of head-to-toe wash, baby body lotion, and facial & body cream.

The entire line is developed and produced in Australia.

Chamomile extract, which can also be found in the Botaneco Garden Baby range, is a popular ingredient in aromatherapy and skin care[1], that can soothe the skin.

Colloidal oatmeal is high in starches and beta-glucan that make it protective and water-holding, with antioxidant and soothing properties. The cleansing effects of oats are due to saponins, which make it an ideal cleanser, moisturiser, buffer as well as a soothing and skin protective agent.[2]

Olive oil is packed with anti-oxidants such as squalene, that is known for its skin health benefits that can protect and hydrate skin when applied topically[3] . The conditioning properties of olive oil provides moisturisation to the scalp and skin.

Mrs. Segolene Defline, Corporate Brand Director, Health & Beauty, The Dairy Farm Company said: “The Botaneco Garden Baby Chamomile and Oatmeal continues the high-standards set by the main Botaneco Garden line. We set out to nurture and delight our littlest users, so that their skin and hair is cared at an early age, while providing their parents with an affordable skincare range that can grow with their children.”

Botaneco Garden and Malaysian Nature Society Launch ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ Campaign in Conjunction with World Environment Day 2017

One Percent of All Botaneco Garden Product Sales throughout June from Guardian Stores Nationwide Will Be Channelled to Mangrove Reforestation Efforts in Kuala Selangor

World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action. It is celebrated every June 5th. The theme for this year’s celebration is Connecting People to Nature, that reminds us that we are part of nature and depend on it, while forwarding the call to protect the Earth that we share.

Responding to the call, Botaneco Garden a brand of hair and body care products made from an innovative and sophisticated blend of botanical ingredients and eco-certified oils, in collaboration with the Malaysian Nature Society, has launched the ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign.

The ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign will see one percent of all Botaneco Garden products sold throughout the month of June channelled to the Malaysian Nature Society’s mangrove reforestation efforts in Kuala Selangor.

The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) is Malaysia’s largest and oldest non-government environmental organisation. MNS’ focus is to conserve Malaysia’s diverse habitats, protecting the nation’s natural heritage especially ecologically sensitive landscapes. Mangrove forests are classified as ecologically sensitive landscapes.

Mangroves present many intrinsic benefits to the ecosystem. They provide shelter and food for aquatic and marine animals, and migratory shorebirds, serve as a deterrent to storm surges, tides and currents, reduce water pollution and prevent soil erosion in coastal communities.

Botaneco Garden products include the Organic Argan & Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Inca Inchi & Aloe Vera as well as the revolutionary Trio Oil range. The collection comprises of the body care collection of Body Wash, Body Butter, Exfoliating Bath, Hand Cream, Body Lotion, and hair care collection of Hair Shampoo, Hair Conditioner and Hair Serum. It is available, nationwide, exclusively at Guardian, and at the Guardian e-store. There are more than 400 Guardian outlets nationwide.

According to Guardian Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Marketing Director, Ms Christina Low, Botaneco Garden’s support for World Environment Day is an ideal fit with the brand’s philosophy and the lifestyle and concerns of its consumers.

“Botaneco Garden has a strong user base of informed, eco-conscious consumers who prefer natural beauty solution. The collection is a performance line with eco-certified ingredients that is affordably priced yet environmentally and ethically produced, to suit consumers who want natural, organic beauty solutions that reduce their exposure to harmful chemicals. The ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign with MNS to assist with reforestation efforts in Kuala Selangor is a good fit for us and for our consumers. This is why we are running it for the whole month,” Ms Low explained.

She said that the brand had set a target to replant 200 mangrove trees from the funds raised.

“We hope that consumers will embrace the World Environment Day 2017 message of People Connecting with Nature and show their support for the ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign.

The formulation of Botaneco Garden collection is free from harmful ingredients such as parabens, soap, colourants and silicone giving consumers who are health-conscious and environmentally-friendly, peace of mind. It is dermatologically tested and proven.

The Malaysian Nature Society’s Executive Director, I.S Mr Shanmugaraj Subramaniam said that support for environmental causes is Malaysia, and that brands such as Botaneco Garden were helping in creating awareness and providing platforms for consumers to participate and contribute.

“The awareness of the importance of mangroves to the riverine and tidal ecosystem is not high. Efforts such as the ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign by Botaneco Garden and MNS take this vital message to the public, and make it ‘real’. Consumers get to support the effort and can visit Kuala Selangor to Connect with Nature, and to see how their support of Botaneco Garden has helped to grow a forest,” Mr Shanmugaraj said.

The Kuala Selangor Nature Park, is home to 150 species of birds, small animals, fish, amphibians, and reptiles such as Smooth Otters, Silvered Leaf-monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques and more. However, illegal mangrove extraction has put this habitat at risk, and reforestation is necessary.

The Botaneco Garden ‘Plant A Seed, Grow A Forest’ campaign begins on June 1st, 2017 and ends on June 30th, 2017. Head to your nearest Guardian store to support this campaign.
